Gillian hails from over the pond in Ireland. During her younger years, she was a crew member for the Irish National sail training vessel, the Asgard II tall ship, and paid her way for races and trips by painting, tiling, and running electrical wires in homes. Soon after moving to the United States, she realized her affinity for old buildings by buying and renovating properties in Richmond's historic district. Her career has spanned from real estate and investment consulting to land development. She is fluent in Spanish thanks to spending half a decade in Honduras working for a non-profit rehabbing street children; and, on the side, designing commercial projects. She is a mother to two wonderful daughters and two dogs.
Her broad experience gives Gillian a unique perspective on custom home building at GLH, one she loves to share with clients. She has an eye for detail, value, and functionality that brings valuable insight to ensuring all the tiny details culminate into the ideal home and lifestyle clients have envisioned for themselves. Q: What makes GLH unique? A: "We distinguish ourselves in the industry by fostering an authentically collaborative work environment and culture. Building homes can be arduous, but great things happen when a team cares and learns from each other in this way. Our clients sense this from the first contact and benefit greatly throughout the design and build process. It's my pleasure to spearhead our work in the coastal Carolina region from this sterling platform." |
