Jim Farlow

Purchasing Manager

Jim was born and raised in the Piedmont of NC: A true native. He grew up in homebuilding, as his father was a custom home builder for three decades in the Greensboro/High Point region. With a degree from UNC-Chapel Hill in Journalism and Mass Communication, Jim worked for custom home builders in Atlanta and San Antonio before returning to North Carolina. He got married and settled down in Union County. His experience included working for a flooring contractor, KB Home, Kingswood Custom Homes, and his own business.

He returned to the residential building business as an estimating manager in 2019 and joined GLH in 2021. In addition, he enjoys hiking, biking, cooking, and anything outdoors with his wife and three daughters in his spare time.

The people. Grand Living Homes is a positive place with like-minded dedicated professionals and strive to give clients 100% each day. It's refreshing to go into an environment where we are valued for what we contribute daily. But, unfortunately, it's scarce in the residential construction industry.
